Island Paxos

Located in the Ionian Sea, the smallest inhabited island Paxos is situated 6 miles south of Corfu, 12 miles from the mainland Greece. Stretching 9 Km in length and 3 Km in width, the 19Km² island is a natural paradise with wildflowers and various arboretums such as Cypresses, pines and olive trees spreading a protective shade over a large part of the territory. This natural terrain attracts many animals and diverse species of rare birds. With meandering paths throughout the island, one will discover magnificent lookout points overviewing various turquoise clear water settings.

The West coastline displays majestic cliffs encompassing numerous bays and caves which are an attraction for boaters and divers. In contrast, the East coastline has a gentle sloping topography with a multitude of inlets ideal for swimming or simply relaxing on large rock slabs or pebble beaches. Another inviting highlight, accessible with a rented boat is Antipaxos. Here the ultimate sandy white beaches await you for swimming and sunbathing.

On the way to the 4 main picturesque towns Gaios, Loggos, Lakka and Magazia one passes through dozens of small hamlets.  These 4 meeting points are well appreciated by the in and out going sailors.
